It is the Duty of every conscious and loving Moorish American / Moorish Scientist to study and re-study themselves and the ancient text of this plane of existence; them namely being the Moorish Holy Koran, the Holy Qur’an, the Torah, the Injiyl and the many other holy scripts that contain divine guidance and instruction, to gain spiritual insight and greater perception with his/her own capacity of divine understanding. With the aims of attaining a greater degree of knowledge while in contemplation and reflection, the adept must then utilize their outer and inner enlightened experience to instruct others while sharing with them the vision and the concepts of higher thought patterns for the understanding of Allah’s greater plan which resulted from intense contact with the finer planes of vibration. Every spiritual instruction manual, especially the Moorish Holy Koran, the Qur’an of Mecca, the Injiyl and the Torah, after being read and studied with the intuitive faculties and with spirit guided intellect; the adept learns the path to Unity, self mastery and the Throne of Mercy (sarir al-rahmaniyya). The initiate seeking admittance in the science of Allah “Unity” and the mysteries of self mastery is required to study all of the ancient and sacred text sent to the Earth plane to ensure that a greater understanding of Allah is attained as opposed to partial knowledge of the great and universal creator: Allah. • The Holy Qur’an Surah 3:84 “Say: We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham (Suhuf-i-Ibrahim), Ishmail, Issac, Jacob, and the tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses (Torah), Jesus (Al Injiyl), and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no destinction betwee one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam).”

The following text represent insight into the primordial science of the “Upright” - that ancient and original science that existed prior to idols and forms. Man is on an upward and inward ascension to Allah and is “doomed to perfection” for Allah is his/her destiny. THE INTRODUCTORY COMMENTARY OF THE HOLY QUR’AN

“Glory to Allah Most High, full of Grace and Mercy; He created all, including Man. To Man He gave a special place in His Creation. He honored man to be His Agent, and to that end, endured him with understanding. Purified his affections, and gave spiritual insight; so that man should understand Nature, understand himself, and know Allah through His wondrous Signs, and glorify Him in Truth, reverence, and unity.

For the fulfillment of this great trust, Man was further given Will, so that his acts should reflect Allah’s universal Will and Law, and his mind, freely choosing, should experience the sublime joy of being in harmony with the Infinite, and with the great drama of the world around him, and with his own spiritual growth.

But, created though he was in the best of molds, man fell from unity when his Will was warped, and he chose the crooked path of discord; and sorrow and pain, selfishness and degradation, ignorance and hatred, despair and unbelief poisoned his life, and he saw shapes of evil in the physical, moral and spiritual world, an in himself.

Then did his soul against himself, and his self-discord made discord between kith and kin: Men began to fear the strong and oppress the weak, to boast in prosperity, and curse in adversity; and to flee each other, pursuing phantoms, for the truth and reality of Unity was gone from their minds.

When men spread themselves over the Earth, and became many nations, speaking diverse languages, and observing customs and laws; the evils became multiplied, as one race of nations became alienated from another. The brotherhood of Man was now doubly forgotten ” First, between individuals, and secondly, between nations. Arrogance, selfishness, and untruth were sown and reaped in larger fields; and Peace, Faith, Love and Justice (Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom, and Justice) were obscured over masses of men, as larger tracts of land were starved of sunshine by clouds floating far on high.

But Allah, in his infinite mercy and love, who forgives and guides individuals and nations, and turns to good even what seems to us evil, never forsakes the struggling soul that turns to Him, nor the groups of men and women who join together to obey His Will and Law, and strengthen each other in unity and truth, nor the nations that dwell in mountain and valley, heat and cold, in regions fertile or arid, in societies that roam over land or seas, or hunt, tend to flock, or till the soil, or seek the seas for food or oil or fat or gems, or dig our from the bowels of the Earth precocious stones or metals or stored-up heat and energy, or practice arts and crafts, or produce abundant wealth by machines of ingenious workmanship, or live a frugal life of contemplation: for all are creatures of One God, and share His loving care and must be brought within the pale of His eternal unity and harmony.

And so this light of eternal Unity has shone in all ages and among all nations, through chosen Messengers of Allah, who came as men to dwell among men, to share their joys and sorrows, to suffer for them and with them ” Aye, and to suffer more than falls to ordinary mortal lot ” that so their message and their life might fulfill the eternal and unchanging purpose of the Most High ” to lead man to his noblest destiny.

Ever this eternal light of Unity, this mystic light of Allah’s own will, has shone and shines with undiminished splendor. The names of many messengers are inscribed in the records of many nations and many tongues, and many were the forms in which their message was delivered, according to the needs of them times and the understanding of the people; and manifold were the lives of the Messengers, and manifold also was the response of their people; but they all witness the One Truth: of Allah’s unity, might, grace and love.

As the records of man are imperfect, and the memory of man unstable: the names of many of these messengers are known in one place and not in, or among one people and not among others; and some of their names may have perished utterly; but their message stands one and indivisible, even though it may have been forgotten, or twisted by ignorance, error, superstition or perversity; or misunderstood in the blinding light of time or tortuous circumstances.

Many were the faiths in the composite world of Western Asia, Northern Africa and Europe, and many were the fragments of ancient wisdom, saved, transformed, renewed, or mingled; and many new streams of wisdom were poured through the crucibles of noble minds ” prophets, poets, preachers, philosophers, and thinking men of action; and many were the conflicts, and may the noble attempts reaching out towards Unity, and many were the subtle influences interchanged with the other worlds of further and Eastern Asia - Aye, and perchance with the scattered Isles of the Pacific and the world between the Atlantic and the Pacific.

At length came the time when the Voice of Unity should speak and declare to the people; without the need of Priests or Priest-craft, without miracles except those that happen now and always in the spiritual world, without mystery, except those mysteries which unfold themselves in the growing inner experience of man and his vision of Allah ” to declare with an unfaltering voice the Unity of Allah, the Brotherhood of Man, and Grace and Mercy, Bounty and Love, Poured out in unstinted measure forever and ever….” - From the Introductory Commentary of the Holy Qur’an

THE MOORISH HOLY KORAN (CHAPTER 1)

“Time never was when man was not.” If life of man at any time began, a time would come when it would end. “The thoughts of Allah cannot be circumscribed. No finite mind can comprehend things infinite. All finite things are subject unto change. All finite things will cease to be because there was a time when they were not.” The bodies and the souls of men are finite things, and they will change, yea, from the finite point of view the time will come when they will be no more. “But man himself is not the body, nor the soul; he is a spirit and a part of Allah.” Creative Fate gave to man, to spirit-man, a soul that he might function on the plane of soul; gave him a body of the flesh, that he might function on the plane of things made manifest. Why did creative Fate give to spirit-man a soul that he might function on the plane of soul? Why did creative Fate give to soul a body of the flesh that he might function on the plane of things that are made manifest?

“Now, seed are perfect, yea, as perfect as the source from which they come; but they are not unfolded into life made manifest. The child is as perfect as the mother is. So man, the seed, must be deep planted in a soil that he might grow, unfold, as does the bud unfold to show the flower. The human seed that came forth from the heart of Allah was full ordained to be the Lord of plane of soul, and of the plane of things made manifest. So Allah, the husbandman of every thing that is, threw forth this human seed into the soil of soul; it grew apace, and man became a living soul; and he became the Lord of all the kingdom of the soul. Hark, now, let every creature hear, the plane of soul is but the ether of the spirit plane vibrating not so fast, and in the slower rhythm of this plane the essences of life are manifest; the perfumes and the odors, the true sensations and the all of love are manifest.

“And these soul attributes become a body beautiful. A multitude of lessons man must learn upon the plane of soul; and here he tarries many ages until his lessons are all learned. Upon the boundary of the plane of soul, the ether began to vibrate slower still and then the essences took on a final garb; the perfumes and the odors and the true sensations and the all of love were clothed in flesh; and man was clothed in flesh. Perfected man must pass through all the ways of life, and so a carnal nature was full manifest, a nature that sprang forth from fleshly things. Without a foe a soldier never knows his strength, and thought must be developed by the exercise of strength. And so this carnal nature soon became a foe that man must fight, that he might be the strength of Allah made manifest. Let every living thing stand still and hear! Man is the Lord of all the plane of manifest, of protoplast, of mineral, of plant, of beast, but he gave up his birthrights, just to gratify his lower self. But man will regain his lost estate, his heritage; but he must do it in a conflict that cannot be told in words. Yea, he must suffer trials and temptations manifold; but let him know that cherubim and seraphim that rule the stations of the sun and spirit of the mighty Allah who rule the solar stars are his protectors and his guide, and they will lead to victory. Man will be fully saved, redeemed, perfected by the things he suffers on the plane of flesh, and on the plane of soul. When man has conquered carnal things his garb of flesh will then have served its purpose well and it will fall; will be no more.

“Then he will stand untrammeled on the plane of soul where he must full complete his victories. Unnumbered foes will stand before man upon the plane of soul; these he must overcome, yea, overcome them every one. Thus hope will ever be his beacon light; there is no failure for the human soul, for Allah is leading on and victory is sure.

“Man cannot die; the spirit-man is one with Allah, and while Allah lives man cannot die. When man has conquered every foe upon the plane of soul the seed will have full opened out, will have unfolded in the Holy Breath. The garb of soul will then have served its purpose well, and man will need it never more, and it will pass and be no more and man will then attain unto the blessedness of perfectness and be at one with Allah.” - From the Moorish Holy Koran

He further stated that if the scholars received the same vision, then the mysteries of ALLAH was theirs; however, if they did not experience the glory of ALLAH, then they had to either seek another sheik or learn to seek the answers from within. The depth of this parable demonstrates that it is impossible to teach “truth,” but one can only be guided to the source of truth for each individual has to “experience” truth - not be “told” truth.

The pure essence of the sacred and mystic spiritual system of Moorish Science is revealed by ALLAH’s kindness only to those, who are seeking and making effort to achieve an inner understanding of the “Unity of ALLAH” (ahadiyya) by self study and self mastery.

A most important instrument regarding the complex structure of Man is the vehicle termed the heart. Love, the primordial substance of eternal life, is not found in any exterior temple of Man on the Earth plane nor does it dwell in the atmospheric heavens above, but it is found in the depths of the inner sanctum sanctorum of Man. The “light of the world” is the Asiatic lantern that burns with the oil of patience, understanding and self-sacrifice. The question then arises, “whom should man love and in what manner should man love?” The action of “Love” is expressed by man’s intent to draw himself/herself closer to the vibration of love, whether it? be through? the love of art, social service, music, the study of nature,? psychology? or the universe. The excuse is first created by an intoxication of feeling or attraction, but with training, guidance, and instruction, that energy is then directed not to the physical entity or expression, but to the underlying nucleus of all that exists: ALLAH.

The first lesson, for Man, is the awakening of the heart center and the magnetic flow of its inner expression. This becomes the purification process by which the heart is cleansed, as it exercises the activeness of love and divine intent. This action of the above mentioned? phenomena represents how manifestation came into existence as an answer to the “Will” that expressed itself in the logos of “Be.” This phenomena not only exemplifies the origin of creation, but the “being” of creation and its manifestation (s). That power remains latent within the occult heart chamber of Man: the dwelling place of ALLAH.

Through the study of the spiritual dimensions of psychology, the adept learns to recognize its Overself counterpart, the preexistent higher intelligence within the seven vehicles of the Overself hierarchy. This area in the initiatic experience allows the pure ones to acclimate them selves with the photonic language of geometric programs, which connects the signature frequency of pure love with the many spiritual vehicles working with the divine programs of ALLAH that act as food for the higher vehicles of consciousness. The most beneficial, yet difficult and arduous task on the physical plane termed Assiah is the path of spiritual enlightenment and self realization. As the less traveled path of transcending the limitations of society, popular culture, personal fears and negative attachments become more difficult and adverse in nature, the adept must learn how they are the determiners of their eventual salvation. In understanding the nature of adept ship, the apprentice learns from in-depth and persistent study that there are two spiritual factors in the development of the higher self. They are as follows:

• (Factor 1) Pure Seeker - The true and pure seeker learns and demonstrates the willingness to experiment and practice the teachings for Higher Consciousness while displaying the active principles of Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom and Justice. When demonstrating the previously mentioned principles the adept must strive ceaselessly with the mission to become honest with one’s self. In this phase the adept must decrease the following: 1) procrastination,? 2)? the? ability to rationalize why he/she should not apologize and 3) the failure to take? responsibility for his/her own negative actions or self defeating behaviors. This state of development forces the adept to grow inward and upward while paying close attention to detail and divine instruction. The statement “many are called, but few are chosen” applies to this state of being as the separating factor between higher consciousness attainment and normal human existence. True self realization and consciousness evolution takes place in phases; therefore, the idea of “overnight spiritual mastery” is a pitfall to self destruction and delusion. The true seeker must maintain inner strength and integrity so as to avoid old patterns, behaviors and ways of thinking. The active study and practice of Moorish Science allows a weak personality to conquer negative thoughts and destructive perceptions, feelings of discontent and addictive desires. This active study of Moorish Science teaches the pure seeker how negativity reinforces the strength of the chains of limitation, adversity, conflict and all things that harm. The idea is to form purity of heart by actively expressing the mantra - “Love instead of Hate” as instructed by Noble Drew Ali.

• (Factor 2) Sheik hood - Sheik hood is the phase in which one provides spiritual, emotional and communal counseling and insight into the mysteries of life. The Sheik/Sheikess, operating with “Love,” acts as a conduit for understanding. As most pure seekers have found, an individual or congregation can read sacred and divine texts and scripture until their heart is content, but without the key of understanding, the teaching will leave the reader in the same state, bound to the ego oriented arena of illusion and conceptual delusion. The Sheik/Sheikess should be available to help the pure seeker practice and develop themselves in every phase of life. The Sheik/Sheikess should bring honesty, harmony, and a decrease (if not a termination) in harsh words. Along with the previously mentioned attributes, the Sheik/Sheikess should also display and encourage a true desire to know the nature of the Universe while overcoming stagnate behavior and thinking which leads to ignorance, bondage and the perpetual state of sorrow.

It is said that once these two personalities emerge as one, that even the celestial hosts pay homage and take notice of them. The key to adept ship states that within every pure seeker is the seed of the “Master” and within every “Master” is the seed of the pure seeker. For the inner and upward spiral continues until man and his personal identity is no more.

Read the following parable regarding spiritual attainment:

“An eager and motivated seeker went to visit a Sheik to ask for initiation into the ancient mysteries of life and to gain an operative understanding of the sacred science of the Universe. The Sheik instructed the seeker to visit the temple regularly, study the ancient texts, attend class and practice daily the lessons provided to him. The seeker reported that he could not perform these tasks because he did not have the time. However, he did state that he wanted liberation, deliverance and salvation from the suffering and cares of the world. The seeker then asked, in a serious tone, “why are you holding the ancient wisdom teaching from me?” The Sheik then stated that he would indeed provide the seeker with the teachings that he so desired, but he had to prepare a special meal for his new instructor the following evening. Once the time arrived, the Sheik visited the home of the seeker for the food offering. The seeker brought out the food offering to his Sheik and encouraged him to eat and enjoy. The Sheik then removed from his bag a heavily soiled bowl that contained parasitic insects and other crawling creatures. The seeker was astounded and requested that the Sheik allow him to clean the bowl before he, the Sheik, ate from it. However, the Sheik refused. The seeker, now angry, stated that he did not understand why the Sheik would put his food in such a dirty and nasty bowl. The Sheik then replied that he did not understand why the seeker would expect him to teach him, the seeker, the purest wisdom without him first emptying the vessel of his mind. The seeker immediately realized the error of his ways and pledged to follow the instruction with a sincere heart and with disciplined action.

The initiation methodology of ancient Moorish Science was designed to provide the necessary instruction and guidance for the use of the tools that would lead the apprentice toward mastery of the physical, mental/psyche (soul) and spiritual planes. These keys, for the higher functions and laws of the universe, were imprinted, via frequency, into the minds of the adepts to foster the understanding of the greater gnosis that created, governed and guided the universe and its cosmic cycles. An example of this can be found in the title and seat of Melchizedek and Imhotep. In Hebrew, Melchizedek is defined as the King of Righteousness and Peace (Hebrews 7:1-3), just as Imhotep is defined in the Khemite (Egyptian) mysteries as the King of Peace. This seat, power and title, like most attainment phases in the “Hierarchical Command,” is available for those worthy entities that have completed their phase work in their respective consciousness quadrants. This is evidenced by the (allegorical) initiation of Yehoshua (Jesus) the Christ into the ancient order of Melchizedek as mentioned in the book of Hebrews 7:15-24.

As revealed in the previously mentioned biblical verses, it is noted that Yehoshua (Jesus) was documented as having taken an oath. Unlike the mundane oath and obligations taken by those of the “lower life” degree system, the ancient oath referred to in the Universe Mysteries, obligates the initiate to not divulge or transmit the higher “programs of ALLAH” contained in select cosmic keys; as it could be detrimental to the lesser consciousness entities; for the knowledge of the greater gnosis could cause the lesser consciousness entities to place themselves on the path of self destruction. An example of this is seen in the movie “Bruce Almighty” when Jim Carrey’s character, Bruce,? misused the godlike power, as given to him by Morgan Freeman (God), for personal and selfish gain. The character’s lack of concern for divine order and cosmic law caused calamitous events, disharmony and imbalance as he was not responsible enough to handle such power with just action and just thinking.

Therefore, all must be governed by their karmic “cable tow” to follow their instructions as described in their cosmic job description. As one transmutes into their ministerial garment of light, the vibrational requirement (oath) must be maintained for their actions and deeds constantly calibrate and determine their worthiness to possess such power and status.

Regarding the symbolic nature of the ancient teachings; it must be known that the mystic instruction manuals were written with an allegorical nature. Therefore, allegorically speaking, a cosmic function of ALLAH may sometimes be identified, by Masons, as “The Grand Architect of the Universe.” With this in mind, it is now understood why those masterfully operating with the tools of the workshop of the mind, are termed, in ancient text, carpenters, temple builders and craftsmen. These symbolic and esoteric titles are referenced to the architectonic administrators that reveal and build with the light geometries that contain encoded message programs for the Asiatic seeds of the planetary worlds and celestial communities. In connection with “The Grand Architect Of The Universe,” one of ALLAH’s many divine and cosmic functions, it is easily seen how the carpenter and temple builder act upon the blueprints and geometric plans of the architect; therefore, the operative term of Mason applies to the scientists that act upon the divine plans of the infinite and omniscient architect.

As veiled in the Coptic Gnostic Egyptian text, the term Phre-Messen (Freemason) meant “Sons of Light.” These “Sons of Light” are the same divine entities identified in the Moorish Holy Koran as the “Revealers of Light.” The ancient super scientists were the ones that left the Earth with codes written in astrological ideographs, sacred language hieroglyphs and codified measurements and mathematical ratios. This is evidenced by the Holy Koran of Mecca being coded with the mystic number 19 which is connected with the great pyramid and other great structures of the galaxy, which are encoded with the mystic mark of 19.5 degrees.

As demonstrated and hidden within the great and sacred text of this Earth, the greater gnosis of the “higher life intelligence” was never lost, but veiled in code from those that were “ruffian” in mind. “The only devil from which man must be redeemed is self, the lower self. If man would find his devil, he must look within; his name is self. Throughout the cycles and ages of the Earth plane (Assiah), the great illuminaries of the higher evolution and hyper-transcendental consciousness have sought to enlighten man from the consciousness realms of negation and darkness into the higher spheres of attunement with ALLAH. They all possessed, to some degree, the divine template of greater consciousness as expressed by those higher entities carrying divine messages from the greater consciousness time zones, these entities are identified as “Ilah Mutajassid” by the great Moorish masters of the ancient days of the past. These “revealers of light” encourage man to seek new realization and understanding for the purpose of raising man, societies and nations from the darkness in which they are bound to a more advanced state of intelligence and being. As written on the dial plate of time, the akashic records, man has risen from darkness, gained cosmic consciousness and enlightenment and ascended into the greater realms and heavens within the hierarchical kingdoms of ALLAH. This pattern has repeated itself as man has embarked upon the long path of evolution toward the divine mission of light from which they then pass on into the oneness of ALLAH. • Moorish Holy Koran 6:5-8 - ” By universal law, all things tend upward to a state of perfectness…..Now, man himself is mind, and mind is here to gain perfection by experience; and mind often manifest in flesh form, and in the form best suited to its growth. So mind many manifest as worm, or bird or beast or man. the time will come when everything of life will be evolved unto the state of perfect man. And after man is man in perfection, he will evolve to higher forms of life.”

In this day and time, many people have begun to develop a greater thirst for inner light and personal development. However, some that experience this frequency alert, deliberately smother and shut down the urge to develop themselves because they fear change from their current system and methodology of study and being. This struggle to rise above the material routine of comfort creates festering seeds within the soils of chaos. As a result of this deliberate stagnation of inner growth - mental imbalance, thought impurity and psychosis are created because man suppressed his natural progression toward inner attunement. The strong grip on material concepts from the world of illusion, from which he/she is destined to outgrow, has given birth to disharmony and imbalance which explains todays rapid increase in psychosis and psychological disease and distress.

The difference between the mass of humanity and the select that seek inner development and self mastery, is the acceptance of the signals for higher consciousness evolution and the lack of fear to experience and receive the evolutionary law of upward progression. There is nothing in the universe that can hamper the progress of awareness once the apprentice leans to become certain, in mind, of his/her place in the cosmic scheme of being and becoming. Negation cannot touch the adept unless they create the condition of disorder within themselves to which the seeds of chaos attaches, as there is no such thing as something happening merely because it happens. This statement is brought to light in the teachings of the Moorish Holy Koran as it states, “It is not strange, there are no happenings, law governs all events.”

Remember, we create our own destinies. However, the path of attainment is crowed with obstacles and life experiences that act as filtration devices for the extraction of impurities, only to prepare and cleanse the garment of light for worlds of higher intelligence. We either draw ourselves closer to the throne of Aught (ALLAH )or to the source of negation and naught. Most people can see the warfare between the cosmic forces of polarity, this solidifies the fact that peace in this world is almost non-existent, but there can be balance and harmony (Islam) within the mind and hearts of the adepts of humanity. This is the preparation age of “Soul,” the kingdom of Immanuel.

It is believed that because we exist, we deserve all of the material and spiritual rewards of the universe without developing character and merit. Often times we convince ourselves that the universe, physical and spiritual, is like some type of limitless treasure chest and that our mere existence warrants, by decree, admittance into the dimensions of wealth and prosperity, regardless of effort or work ethic.

As most people feel that they are worthy and deserving of “good things,” they easily become disgruntled and place blame on others while declaring themselves victim of injustice and atrocious misfortune whenever they feel they are 1) not fortunate enough or 2) when they feel their valued substance, material or spiritual, have been usurped from their possession by others. Each person considers themselves positive and for the most part, identifies those that hold adverse positions to their own as “evil.”

It has become normal within modern standards of character to desire the possession of what is termed valued things along with the idea that it is an injustice to not possess these things. It has also become trend to strongly feel that one is “deserving,” despite the lack of effort as most complain about their situation while expressing, from their hearts, feelings of social injustice that hampers their efforts toward gaining success.

The malignant disease of instant gratification, easy success, lack of patience, hatred for hard work and lack of character development created the avenue by which the “Lower Self” thrives and festers in the soils of chaos. The higher thought faculties within the realm of animalistic behaviors and parasitic fetal narcissism rationalize unjust behavior in the name of righteous action and concepts of illusion. This basically implies that man has grown to think that the world should be at his/her service to satiate his/her every need without any real effort.

As fetal life is devoid of merit and effort, man has become selfish with only the desire to feed and take. This is the breeding ground for child violence, both physical and sexual, rape, theft, acts of dehumanization, slavery and “soul” manipulation and control as it is easier to take from and overpower others for “easy success” rather than developing one’s inner and social character for divine integrity.

The desire to be loved without the willingness to love first has become the epidemic of the 21st century. This was pointed out by Noble Drew Ali as he instructed the Moors and other members of the Moorish Science Temple to “Love instead of hate.”

• 1 John 4:20 - “If a man say, I love God, and hate his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother, whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?”

The “Pathology of Failure” is the lack of acknowledging the divine in others, expecting instant gratification and not willing to display consistent work ethic with merit that states, ” I truly deserve.” The perception of failure is defined by the perceiver; but the cyclical continuance of failure is a harmful device when the progenitors of social and personal deterioration aim for immediate satiation instead of collective ascension toward greater “Self” development. The act of Moorish Meta-Psychic Introspection involves the use of concentration and focus for the orientation to meta-creation. To command, control and activate the mind’s interaction are aspects of concentration in stages. These stages are successful when one learns abstinence against the constant and purging activities of the mind. The object to concentration is to manifest the ability of calling upon the finer elements of creation for the purpose of creating realization and mastery.

In the ancient circles of mystic psychology, the mind states which equate to the rising, zenith, and setting of the sun are as follows:

• Uruj - the state of mind in which the adept thinks with enthusiasm and energy.

• Kemal - the state of mind in which the thought active energy reaches its culmination as the force of the thought becomes exhausted.

• Zaval - the state of mind in which the enthusiasm and energy of the thought, idea or deed is lost. The pleasure of the deed losses its affects as there is an assimilation of essence.
