The “Moorish Chronicle” will begin as a quaterly message dedicated to the education and resurrection of Moorish Consciousness within the Americas and abroad, internationally. To maintain the heartbeat of the Moorish Mind that was re-established in the American states by Noble Drew Ali in 1913, “The Moorish Chronicle” and “Moorsgate.com” will serve as instruments by which “fallen humanity” can better educate themselves and find solutions to their socio-economic and psycho-spiritual issues.

The aim of “The Moorish Chronicle” is as follows:

• To serve as a social and political voice for the millions of conscious and unconscious Moorish Nationals in the Americas.
• To foster an increase in social and political power, not only in the Americas, but also throughout the international Diaspora.
• To foster greater accountability for Moorish activities in the Americas and to maintain the Moorish heritage and creative genius that is committed to the upliftment of fallen humanity.
• To create a vehicle for news by which information is illustrated in a non-traditional manner.
• To provide a lucrative instrument that provide economic possibilities for business, advertisement and future economic developments.
• To document the works and existence of active Moorish nationals and those Moorish nationals that have made their departure from this plane of existence (see Honored Departure/Obituary).
• To act as an information dispenser for the Nations of the Earth that has progressive ideas and solutions to the “human problem” of these times.

The “Moorish Chronicle” will provide a section to honor Moorish nationals that have passed on from this world. Families are able to have their family member’s legacy printed to honor their accomplishments and works, so that their name and work will not go un-recognized. Their will also be a section provided to spotlight the works of the youth. This section has aims to foster their genius and evolution as tomorrow’s leaders, intellectuals and pioneers. This progressive newspaper will serve as an effective commercial vehicle to display the various activities of the active Moorish communities and organizations. Therefore, a Public Service section will be provided to announce events and other pertinent news that is happening in your area.

The “Moorish Chronicle” will serve the East Coast, Midwest and West Coast to provide opportunities for businesses and individual Moorish nationals to have exclusive press and coverage. As this newspaper will break the barriers of normality, we ask that you consider “The Moorish Chronicle” as your source when planning to communicate to a broad audience. As we also work to encourage our youth for success, all submitted poetry, writings and creative art will be showcased in the Children’s Spotlight section. This section does not carry a fee; therefore we encourage families to urge their children to be recognized on a broad scale. Finally, another unique aspect of “The Moorish Chronicle” newspaper is the support for Moorish family. We recognize that existing as a unified and cohesive family in this day and time, is truly an honored attribute in any community. Therefore, we ask that families send pictures to be showcased as the “Family of Month” in our national newspaper along with information regarding your family’s goals and/or achievements. June 16th thru June 18th , 2006 was an experience of a Moorish lifetime. The event, although small, created a close knit family atmosphere. Everyone in attendance got along well, exchange positive and effective solutions and ideas during both the closed and open sessions. Many Moors traveled many a states to attend the conference and many felt that the conference was great success. Moors came from the following states to get to South Carolina to exchange Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom and Justice: Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Texas, New York and Ohio. Moorsgate.com would like to thank the precious Moors that attended the conference with a pure heart.

The speakers: C. Freeman El; Elihu Pleasant Bey; Hakim H. Y. Bey; Grand Sheik Graham Bey; Grand Sheik Lord Tawfiyk El and Zothyrius Ali El all did a superb job with providing relevant and effective information for the Moorish Divine and National Movement.

• C. Freeman El focused on spiritual development and the realization of the “Divine” in Man and Woman. He urged those in attendance to study themselves and seek “God” within as they prepare themselves for self mastery.
• Elihu Pleasant Bey encouraged those in attendance to begin utilizing their “one” Free National Name, termed Moorish American as opposed to caste system terminologies such as negro, black, colored and African American. He also discussed the birth of the Moorish Nation in 1865.
• Hakim H. Y. Bey focused on the works of Sheik Sharif Abdul Ali (Noble Drew Ali) and the power and sovereign status that was created by the “Our Authority” that sits in plain view on the back of the Moorish 101 Questionnaire. Hakim Bey Also stated the importance of creating wealth and independence for ones self.
• Grand Sheik: Graham Bey discussed the ancient maps detailing the old Moorish Empire. He provided evidence through the use of old texts that have been out of print for some time. He proved how select literary works documented the extent of the Moorish Empire and how chapter 47 in the Moorish Holy Koran (MHK) stood right and exact as taught by Noble Drew Ali.
• Grand Sheik: Lord Tawfiyk El explained how negative media has influenced music and the psychology of the Asiatic youth. He provided a pictorial display which documented the ongoing destruction of Moorish identity and how music industry’s large financiers have encouraged the demise of a healthy and positive image that would nurture the rise of intelligence in tomorrows Moorish Nationals.
• Zothyrius Ali El concentrated on the importance of organizational and administration skills to foster a unified body politic. He displayed missions and aims and provided a professional power point presentation which detailed a blueprint to Moorish Power on a national and international level. The presentation also covered a vast array of economic ideas and strategies that could easily be duplicated in the several states of the continental “united States.” He also proposed the development of a Moorish National Treasury for the longevity and prosperity of all Moorish Citizenry. The presentation encouraged Moorish Nationals to act as a unified body while discouraging “individualistic” and “clannish” behavior as it would lead to the demise of a successful Moorish system of governance.

Once again, the conference was a success and a many tasks were accomplished. Special thanks are extended to Afrika Bambaataa Aasim Bey and the Zulu Khemetic Moors, the Moorish Science Temple of America, the Great Seal National Association of Moorish Affairs, The League of Moorish and Indigenous Nations, The Moorish Holy Temple of Science, as all were in attendance.
